Re: A Nuthatch answers questions on the 90-250 ec2.0 combination
Thanks Ed
My Nuthatch should also have commented on the exposure time, in this case 1/100'th of a second, not bad for 500mm hand held
(note - I've deliberately kept the sharpening gentle, these are woodland birds in woodland light)

Numbers 2 & 5 for me
But as allways I would have loved to have any of them in my collection
Sharpening these more would have been a waste - they look superb as-is

Thanks Andy/Gregles/Stewart/Garrie I was pleased to get the nuthatch, they are are a lovely subtle coloured bird from the pastel end of the pallette, so easy to get wrong in pp.
Other than the first (which had the angles helped), these are uncropp'd

Excellent advert for the setup, although it would take me, a mrere mortal, quite some time to achieve those shots with that combo!

Thanks DannyOriginally posted by Danny View PostExcellent advert for the setup, although it would take me, a mrere mortal, quite some time to achieve those shots with that combo!
A cracking set all round.
The combo is more difficult to afford than it is to use, but it can pull some nice shots.

Interesting 'spray' of trails in No.4?

Snashing set Nick, we don't often see these up here, at least I don't. I'm going to go against the flow and say #2 for me, I prefer the pose and I like that the top of the log is the same colour as Nuthatchies back.John

Re: A Nuthatch answers questions on the 90-250 ec2.0 combination
A beautiful series Nick. I would have been over the moon if I had taken any one of them. The Nuthatch is a bird that is still on my "to find" list, must try harder.
Thanks for sharing.Peter
she looked at me and said "It's official. I hate your camera. It's just so amazing and perfect I want one!"
