Wow Mark - what a show! Great pics from an all over nice subject!
Seems as if Yaks there are plenty, in Oz?! Did you got an exhaust flame from the start up in your first photo?!

Northeastern Victoria is a wide flat plain which accentuates the high dome of the sky. I have lived here for just on a year and loving it.

Thanks Falk, and yes, that is an exhaust flame in 1.
Being a frosty morning with temps at -3 Celsius many of the Yaks were unable to start up. After several attempts this one did.

Mark, WOW ! Stunning images everyone ! NOW I have to go to our local Popham Airfield and arrange a flight in a YAK ! What lens are you using for these ? It looks so exciting I feel I am truly missing out - every shot is a BEAUTY !

ps please can you email me a AUS bright blue sky in RAW, for my shots, to pp in place of our dull grey UK ones!

Chevvy - the lenses I used for this set were standard Olys kits - 14-42 for on the ground shots. For balloon-to-air, 40-150 + 70-300.

I only wish I had had the 12-60 and the 50-200 last year when these were taken.
The difference in IQ between these and Yaks and Balloons shot 2 wks ago is obvious.
