My 2 oldest were a little bored so I took them outside with camera and a few flashes. They enjoyed the session. Some photos from the session :

Some nice light there. how many flashes is a few?
You seem to have eliminated any nasty shadows, and the girl's faces are lit very well; leaving the background dark.
Is there a flash behind them?

I've got 3 flashes (FL-36 and YN460II). One main light on full power (GN36 on FL-36) 45 degrees camera left in Lastolite Ezybox softbox. One fill light 60 degrees camera right on 1/32nd power, eyelevel, with a dome diffuser. 135 degrees camera left (behind the girls) is a high light on 1/16th power with a dome diffuser.
1/80th sec and f5.6, ISO200 on all. Wrote about it in a blogpost hereComment
