    Re: Snow at the seaside

Tell you what, it looks better than it does in summer with all the madding crowds. Its just short of the women in the shawl at the end of the breakwater. Lovely set. Thanks

      Thanks for the comment

I have just been printing a batch off and mounting them as late Christmas cards for some friends who also like Lyme

I forgot to mention that they were taken with the ZD12-60 and a E-P1 camera

Aha.. That last one is the car park I decided I couldn't get in this last summer.. Clearly we should have come in the winter :-)

        Unusual views, nice pictures.

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

Beautiful shots. It's one of my favourite places - when it's not covered with tourists...

            Re: Snow at the seaside

Thanks again for the comments - I am beginning to wonder what I have started as I have just had a phone call from somebody I sent one of those Christmas cards insisting that I make her a calendar from the series, perhaps this may be more work that I originally expected..

Roger, Lovely clean images and clear blue skies!

Drove through Lyme Regis when we visited UK one October - these revive memories but not of the snow.

Thanks for bumping this thread up - I had almost forgotted that about it!

If you had visited in June you would have seen the red arrows call - I ather like this one of them flying directly into the sun

A very impressive shot Roger; even more so without the figure.

I like it better with the figure. No accounting for taste I guess but it's definitely a good shot.

Lovely snow pictures, doesn't look like we'll get much of that down south this winter. I missed these first time around so thanks to Mark for bringing them back!

Thanks for all the various comments.

I thought that I should provide some technical information on the summer image. It was taken using the same 12-60 lens as the snow ones but at 12mm with a circular polariser. This time I used an E5

Wow, how did I miss this one last December, these are very interesting shots of Lyme Regis Roger, certainly looks very different to this most of the year.
We were down there for a long weekend for my wife's birthday in July this year, had a great walk up on and around Golden Cap, I've still got to get around to PP a number of images I took.
Anyway thanks for sharing these from 2010

I thought it was odd having snow at the beach on the South coast. I didn't notice it was last year doh..
