Two more at New Year;

These are the singing sands at Traigh Bhan on the Oa.
Its gone sunset so a 6 second exposure teases out the foam on the breaking waves. Kintyre in the background.

The evening before we went to Port Askaig in a sort of aimless ' What shall we do before it gets dark' wander. Not so the Islay Lifeboat, going 'out on a shout' to Colonsay with some emergency medical supplies. The Paps of Jura behind. This pushed the E-500 and the FL-50 to their limits but I like it.
And two to prove that sometimes I go there in summer.
June 2004, the campsite at Kintra looking up the Big Strand (5 miles long).
Perfect pitching ground in machair. One of my first panoramas with the C-5050no tripod.

And at the southwesternmost tip, Portnahaven with a shower coming over from Donegal. Another 4 shot panorama which only sticks together well in Elements 7 or later.
