Hastings Pier

I'm sure a lot of forum members would have seen the news pictures of the victorian pier at Hastings ablaze this last week, I decided to take a trip along the coast early this morning to see the damage for myself, it's all very sad as in my youth I lived just a stones throw from the pier and was practically brought up on it...Oh well I guess nothing lasts forever!

It was a murky misty type of morning so had to make the best of it.

Such a shame Neil. I gather they have caught the two low-lifes who started the blaze.

You've captured a great structure in a lot of pain. Nice shots.

Nothing is forever...but hope they can eventually ressurect it...the art filter treatment for the mono?...like it but know of someone who probably wouldnt

Thanks John, I think you are right, they did arrest 2 but as is the way these days they didn't stay behind bars for very long

You may well have a point Crimbo, I was being a bit lazy but I thought the art filter suited the subject well today.............but don't despair I'm working on some F.art that I hope will please. Keep yer eyes peeled
