  • Local Vintage Ploughing Match

I visited my local Vintage ploughing match today next to the lovely village of Marston St Lawrence, Michael Heseltine lives next door don't you know?

The match was in memory of local man Richard Bywater and all monies raised went to the local Katherine House Hospice.

The overall winner was Dave Hemmings who when I got back home, my wife informed me that she used to play with him on their farm when they were children.

Lovely Fergie 35 there... I hoped to catch the same thing at the Village where I work, but all the fuss turned out to be a Quad Bike weekend.

Not quite the same thing eh?

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

I meant to say that I grew up driving a 35 and a 35x just like that one. Our farm was very behind the times, even when We finished farming in 1998 we were still using a grey fergie on a daily basis.

I like the composition in the way the exhaust run up the centre of the first image.

Thank you, I was trying to frame the judges crossing the field inspecting the plots.

Oooh, the 35x. My favourite tractor - the farm owner had one where I grew up.
