As I said elsewhere my daughter trawled through some 1800 pictures I took when I visited her in Japan and made me a lovely inscribed album with some 20 images in it for my birthday. It got me looking through these images and I came up with a couple that are less than touristy.
What is it they say about the more coloured the insect the more attitude (and venom ) it has.

And the result - look I've left a pink hairy inflated marigold on my hand - you can just see the bite marks in front of my wrist. I had no knuckles for a week!
