  • St Mary's,Higham

On the North Kent coast, recently restored by the churches conservation trust.

Very old door with unusual carvings.

Very remote with a great walk down to the Thames beyond, about 2 miles.
    All the best

    Love the window shot.

But remote? In Kent? I don't know, you southerners!

(There are parts of Northumberland half a mile from a fingerpost)

Nice looking church and a couple of good shots Andy.

19'th century glass provides some lovely strong colours.

Apparently this church has just undergone some conservation work.

For those that don't know about the Churches Conservation Trust and the work it does for redundant churches

The national charity protecting historic churches at risk. We care for over 359 irreplaceable buildings which attract almost 2 million visitors a year.

(Andy - I know they always appreciate shots of their churches)
