Always enjoyable seeing your shots like these. Is #3 quite level or is it me? (Oh, not that subject again!)

      Thanks

I'm sure its level, but the camera was angled just slightly into the church so you may be seeing a perspective effect. (and nave main aisle wall does slope out, unfortunately churches don't always follow right angles)

A joy to see Nick, they are first class photographs and I enjoyed looking at the Church photographer. The interior of the churches are very well lit and such fine detail My favourite is the one showing the font. Just one question
Nick do you use the FL 50 flash or a off camera set up? Thanks for posting Regards JohnR.

Yep, it's me! I based my comment on the pews which are at angle. Looking at it again, I can see that you are right. Apologies.

Yes, an excellent set, well up to your usual standards. HDR (I suspect) present and doing its job without trampling all over the image. Ten out of ten

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

No flash or artificial lighting, these are HDR shots with between 9 and 12 exposures. Then processed in Photomatix and The GIMP to try and get a 'real' representation.

They are shot with an E-3, 11-22 set-up on a Benbo tripod and a Manfrotto geared head.

              Thanks

                Thanks Peter

I'm beginning to think I may be getting quite good at these shots, though there is no secret to producing them - just enough exposures.

                Anyway they seem to work

All fine images and they show HDR in a good light (pun unintended). This is HDR that doesn't look like the HDR that some people expect and is more like what you would actually see with your own eyes.
                  Good stuff!

                    Thank you Dave.

My objective in making images that are as close as I can achieve to 'realistic' seems to be being met. I look forward to the next few months when light will start to be angled back in giving even more complicated scenes.

Did you get a shot of the South doorway? It's what Pevsner mentions (while being gently rude about the font!).

Well done for keeping up the good (and I mean it!) work!

No - I noted it on the way in and then forgot - pity, it is quite fine, sorry.

Pevsner is often quite strange in his opinions, though he shaped how we are supposed to view church architecture.

                          Thanks
