  • Wasp and Hoverfly

    Never had much luck with photographing wasps, just can't seem to persuade them to pose right.





    Hoverflies however are natural photo tarts, always willing to pose

    Fantabulous as always. Do you charm these mini-beasts in a sort of Indian snake charmer way, with perhaps a tin whistle? Or by putting a smidgen of honey onto some flowers? (Methinks I will try that.)

    Keep them coming as, when winter comes, I shall enjoy calling up your gallery postings!

      Great shots as always. No.5 for me but only get half of No. 3

          We had a lovely crop of thistles and other wild flowers round here on National Trust land until a couple of days ago when someone cut them down. It's rendered a lot of photographable insects homeless.

            Sorry Nick when I opened last time only the top half of the third photo showed on my screen all seems in place this morning, could be my PC.
