HELP! Trying to upload pictures onto this site

I have just wasted an absurd amount of time trying to upload some pictures onto this site. Why, oh why, is it so bloody long-winded? In the end I gave up, and believe me, that is very unusual for me.

I would be grateful if someone could point me to a guide to uploading pictures here, I'm sure there is one, but frankly I have lost the will to live and cannot waste any more time this evening. I am computer literate (believe it or not) and spend half my time fiddling with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio and so on, and cannot for the life of me see why, after re-sizing, uploading an image to a thread or reply isn't simply a two or three click operation.

I would be grateful for any help please.

Here's a graphic I put together some time ago for this very reason. It has featured in many threads and I am sure a quick search may have helped.

Personally, I prefer to use my own gallery to link my images to, as that is easier for me because I do it directly from Lightroom, but uploading images to here is pretty straightforward once you know how Here you go...

I ran into the same frustrating problem, Dan and eventually gave up. It is a mindlessly convoluted procedure.

The easy way is to open a Photobucket Account and link your picture posts to there.

Your quote here implies you have someway of exporting directly from Lightroom. At the moment I export to a folder to do the jpeg conversion and then come into the forum to upload the image in the normal way. Have you devised a cunning plan to publish directly from LR?
