Anyone ordered direct from OM Systems? Customs charges?

I ordered an MCON adapter and OM Systems has just confirmed it’s on its way from Germany…. Recently, I bought a watch from a dealer in Belgium; got stung for £64 in duty, VAT and DHL handling charges. Just wondering if OM has this side sorted already.

If you are charged, it's a mistake and you will be refunded. Contact OMDS sales service and they will sort it out. I haven't heard of any such instances recently, though.

Thank you. I had half assumed OMDS would have the import/export side sorted.

I have never been charged any customs charges on all my orders with OMDS this year. So looks if they have it sorted.
Always comes via UPS.

I can second the positive comments above....

I have bought a few times both via Olympus and latterly OMDS and all covered - order via the UK section of the eShop, they bill, ship via UPS, it arrives....'simples'

PS one thing of note about their internal process. When you get the initial 'shipped' email all that means is that they have "shipped" the order to the warehouse operation the actual & physical shipment can take a couple of days from that initial 'shipped' email. It was the same under Olympus so OMDS inherited IMO oddity of the administration.

Just bought a lens from them.

No extra charges, came from Germany, fantastic service.

It wasn't available in the UK anywhere, ordered on Saturday, delivered on Wednesday last week by UPS.

Just received lens from Germany via UPS. No extra charges and price was even better than the second hand market!
