I would have gone but although I’m back in the UK for a week from 1st September I can't extend my stay, sadly.

Ticket bought and parking paid for the Monday.
Got some books and couple of other bits for the charity stall that I had for the
      last cancelled show.

I did not know it was on. Must admit, I doubt I will attend this year, bit to close to Covid for me to mix in big crowds...:-(

I did seriously consider this but, like Mark, I'm not ready to circulate in a crowded indoor space just yet. Too many Covid experiences recently amongst family, friends and neighbours. 😥

I cashed in my ticket in May when there was no urgency in going this September. I'll wait until next year.

I will be there on Sunday, wearing the badge that was posted on here last year. Let me know if you want to meet up.

Sadly I won't be there this time - this is the first I have missed (when the show has actually taken place) for a very long time).

Had a good day at the show yesterday, went by train rather than driving up, much better, and probably cheaper. I bought a new tripod, old one well over ten years old, and a dot sight, both on offer.
Tried the 150-400, took a couple of pics with it. I was so nervous I did not check any of my settings so got a few blurry shots at 1/20th sec, then upped it to 1/40th which was not bad, I reckon I could get away with 1/100th if I decide to get one. I am VERY tempted. Woman shot at 1/13th sec, 356mm, f 4.5. The C***n shot at 1/40th, 400mm JPEG SOC. Both hand held. Minimal texture in LR on the woman. Tensi Ward was good on LR. Camera, EM1 Mk 3. Lens did not feel too big for it.

Thanks for giving us a flavour of the show, Dave!

Great to see some photos from the show, thanks. I didn’t feel up to getting out to NEC shows myself just yet, but have watched a couple of their recorded live sessions on the Olympus Facebook site. I found out they are going to be running some events you can go to over the coming months including more sessions at various WWT Wetland centres around the country where you can hopefully try out lenses like the 150-400. I booked for the WWT Welney Norfolk one with David Tipling - not bad for a fiver and I wanted to do some trips there anyway as it is only a 1 hour drive for me. Events are being listed on Olympus ImageSpace here: https://www.olympus-imagespace.co.uk/whats-on/
