Snow From Hell*
Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

Re: Snow From Hell*
For the first time in over 30 years, according to ancient locals, we have had snow which lasted more than 2 days. We are getting off lightly compared with many areas, but it's still a b** nuisance. Can't get out for food - the Pheasant which comes into the garden had better watch out!
This was taken just before Christmas, and it's not got any less!Stephen

Re: Snow From Hell*
Much the same here in SE Wales. About 150mm or so of snow but at least it has stopped - if only for the time being.
Working from home today - not risking a 50+ mile drive to Llandarcy!Dave

Re: Snow From Hell*
This part of Ontario had two feet of snow on Sunday and Monday on top of the snow that was already on the ground.
And I brushed another five inches off the truck yesterday morning. Haven't looked outside yet this morning.

The thing is David, everything comes to a standstill here after only the smallest flurry of snow.
Still... I couldn't get out this morning so am at home today! Check the tyre marks where cars try to get out, and when they hit the bend on the hill just outside my house they veer off and almost hit one of my cars! grrrr....

Re: Snow From Hell*
Here in Putney there is about half an inch. It didn't stop some s*d driving into my car and driving off again, though. Grrr, especially as it may be uneconomic to repair.
I drove back from Melaka's place outside High Wycombe last night and that was quite exciting. Earlier we had gone "cross country" to avoid the A3 - luckily he has a Subaru.

Re: Snow From Hell*
Not sure what all the fuss is about ....
Mind you I did get the 4 wheel drive fixed on my car yesterday
Discovery was that the front transfer case/diff oil had not been changed in 80,000 miles despite the car being dealier serviced from new
I'm just hoping it lasts until the weekend as I'm the one getting into work at the moment
