Hopefully the extra cell spaces gained can soon be used to house those members of the public refusing to abide by the terms of the current lock down.

Is this really in context with our current situation...London/ers seems to have a mind of its own and makes me slightly mad that people complain about individuals taking their cameras out on a local walk in countryside. Sophie certainly isn't taking the one of her running is she. and 2 police on horseback seem unconcerned that someone is taking pics of them...crazy situation..
BBC presenter's photographs of deserted streets as she runs to work in central London.

If the filming was undertaken in a responsible way I don't think it has done any harm
We need to take a sensible view to our current situation, a position most people seem to be opting for
At one extreme are those ignorant fools who flout the rules and threaten the safety of others.
The other end of the scale are the freedom denying zealots who want everyone in solitary

I found the photos from the report very interesting albeit eerie, as a native Londoner i'm very proud of my city and its people
We have faced many challenges over the years, my maternal grandparents died during the blitz.
After 7/7 we adopted the "we are not afraid" slogan emblazoned on an Underground roundel, that says it all

The we are not afraid was not a comment on this situation, just a response to the anti London/ers gist of your post
Is there a distance quoted in the regulations?
Not actually very far at all between Knightsbridge, Kings Cross, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden
Sophie runs the marathon so six miles from home she mentioned would be easily attainable in an hour.

I think its supposed to be a mile...that's what my son has been doing and he ran 2 London marathons...there's a youtube clip somewhere of a lady living in suffolk who has ran a marathon in her back garden, dizzy afterwards I suspect...!! I wasn't necessarily having a dig at London/ers just that is where so many cases are at the moment...

Been looking and can't find any mention of a specific distance or time for the daily exercise.

We often take things for granted, however I am very aware of how lucky I am to live where I do.

This is literally on my doorstep and leads to the Ingrebourne Valley Country Park, where I work for the Essex Wildlife Trust

I have seen them (sunning themselves) and the local cats are always attracted to the hedge by any movement sounds and smells.

We regularly get foxes and badgers wandering up and down, but I am not quick enough to get the camera out to capture them. Must have one set up ready!

        You missed the important qualifiers:

The Human Rights Act protects our right to enjoy possessions without interference, deprivation or control of those possessions. This right is 'non-absolute' and for there to be an interference there has to be a law that allows it and it has to be in the public interest and the response has to be proportionate.
