  • Looking for an ND110 true 10stop ND filter

    Hi All

    Does anyone here know where - on eBay - I might find a supplier for one of these filters please. I am after the full 10 stop ND110 filter - which I think are the screw-in type, so as to avoid any light leakage.

    Anyone any pointers...?

    I have found a ND2, ND4 and a ND8 (72mm, but other sizes can be obtained)

      Forgot to reply to this one John.

      Just for info to anyone reading this... the ND8 isn't an 8-stopper...? It's a 1/8th i.e. 3-stopper.

      So..

      ND2 = 1 stop
      ND4 = 2 stops
      ND8 = 3 stops
      ND110 = 10 stops

        There are occasional ND110s offered on eBay but they are infrequent. Indeed the B+W seems to be hard to get hold of full stop (if you'll pardon the pun).

        You could always use an adaptor ring (a couple of quid from the Far East on eBay, search for seller tonyzhang888) and glue it to a piece of welding glass (search for seller darkmutton on eBay for another couple of quid) and you will have a 13ish stop filter albeit not the same quality and requiring WB adjustment.

            Seems like eBay will not bring you any quality offer. If you can stand some degrees of color shift, try using two linear polarizers for an instant vari-ND - that's the cheapest way.

                Hi John

                Did you get one in the end?

                Have you thought about the 9-stop Light Craft Workshop filter? The Fader ND has been rubbished on TP but good things are said about ND500 MC.

                It was only available in 77mm, but Premier Inks are listing a 72mm version:

                  Hi David

                  Yes, I did get one and ended up buying the B&W ND110 10 stop filter. I really like using it though it does tend to give a slight orange cast, but this is easily rectified in PP.
