    New rumours!

    Well lots of speculation here...

    Canon joining the Micro Four Thirds standard?

    Canon designs three new lenses that only fit the smaller format favored by Olympus and Panasonic… is it joining them?

    Not half! Why would Canon need to look at something like that? The only reason (surely?) would be if by going to yet another format (not necessarily 4/3) it gets them into the non-pro birders arena, so like APS-C gave them that extra reach over full frame or APS-H (whatever!) then this might be a way of doing that, given that the 7D is supposedly end of life now with no replacement in the road map. Can’t see it myself.

      Most patents from the photo gear manufacturers never make it into products. They just go into the patent library.
