For many weeks I have had W10 Update trying to install updates and failing, and having to wait while it undoes it all again. I have been using the option to delay this for about 5 days.
I recently deleted all stored updates, to no effect.
Finally, having found error code 0x8024a206 in Settings, security update, etc., I used this fix (not bothering with section D).
At the first offering of an update since then I opted for a restart. On reboot, the blue screen came up with a dialogue saying it was preparing to configure updates. That took several minutes and I began to think it was in a loop. Anyway it went ahead and the whole thing took about half an hour.
