Well, after much thought, I've decided to sell quite a lot of my kit. The E-510 and kit lenses; battery grip; ME-1 eyepiece; 50-200mm, etc - all on eBay at the moment.
Work is looking iffy at the moment (bliddy credit crunch), so I sat down and took stock of what I actually used and how often. It turned out that the things I picked up 95% of the time since I bought them was the E-1 with 14-54mm - The 50-200mm has barely seen the light of day since I bought it from a fellow forum member, so it was pretty pointless keeping it for the sake of it.
I couldn't see the point in keeping the E-510 and lenses until they were worthless, which is what would have ended up happening. They're actually getting very good prices at the moment, and I fully expect to get back nearly what I paid for them, if not a bit more - not often you can say that about any electrical equipment kicking on for a year old!
Hopefully work will pan out ok, then I can decide what to do (buy!) with the cash - whatever happens, the E-1 won't be going anywhere... now, if only it had IS, a larger LCD and 3-4 more megapixels, I'd be happy for life...
So, back to basics, really... maybe not a bad thing. Some people may argue that you can never have too much kit - personally, I feel that you can become obsessed with the hardware at the expense (financial expense, also) of your picture taking...
