Good Sunday morning all!
A fine spring day although not officially until September.
But birds and bees and butterflies aren't waiting so it seems.
Mating butterflies in the garden taken with my phone just minutes ago.
Delivered my art show entries to the organiser yesterday.
The transit cases I built were much admired and quite a topic of conversation.
Ironical if the cases win 1st prize and I'm left with four unsold paintings to carry home.
Hello there David, Hello Derek, Sorry about the miisiing pics ... I'm afraid the old brain is becoming very unreliable.
Anyways' here they are ... I was quite pleased with the butterfly, shot very quickly with the phone. I'm afraid the XZ1, E520 and E3 don't get used much these days.
Good luck with the exhibition, Mark. I've just put the missing 'p' in Spring in the thread title.
John
"A hundredth of a second here, a hundredth of a second there even if you put them end to end, they still only add up to one, two, perhaps three seconds, snatched from eternity." ~ Robert Doisneau
Thanks John, I hadn't even noticed the missing "P" - that confirms what I already suspected, that I am gradually losing my marbles. Hopefully, painting won't be one of them. Remember Kubrick's Space Odyssey 2001 - well I'm like HAL 9000 after Dave stuffed up his memory banks.
The butterfly looks like a Painted Lady. They get around a bit - we get ours in the UK coming over from Morocco every year to breed (they don't over winter).
(The EXIF says that it was taken on a Samsung SM-G920I, 'tonyfromalnwick'.)
