    How Should I Vote? - The EU Debate BBC 1 TV - 8:00pm - 9:00pm Thursday 26th, May

Live from Glasgow, Victoria Derbyshire hosts a debate on the issues that matter to younger voters ahead of the June referendum on whether or not Britain should remain in the EU.

An audience of voters under the age of 30 from all over the UK - put their questions and concerns to a panel of senior politicians central to the campaigns to leave or remain in the UK.

Viewers at home can also raise points and questions to the panel through social media.

    OK, my question:

If we vote to leave the EU will greengrocers still be sent to prison for selling bananas by the pound?

I have found the BBC's coverage very stay / remain / bow to our European overloads biased. Generally Breakfast or the news leads with a remain story, followed by a "oh, and leave said this".

Will be interesting to see what questions they allow to be asked.

p.s. what happened to all the migrants in Calais, they seem to have vanished (certainly from the news) since the EU membership campaigns started. As has the Greek financial crisis & the associated protests, basically anything that happens in Europe that could possible influence our decision to leave. Yes, I'm getting cynical in my old age.

Stats on immigration are due to be released today, should be interesting and possibly embarrassing for the government members who support the stay campaign.

What gets me is the way 'Channel 4 News' presents the news. It frequently strays from presenting facts and follows the agenda of the ultra liberal journalists such as John Snow. For example it seems to promote increased immigration, such as allowing people living in the jungle to enter the uk, especially the younger people who want to join their siblings who are likely to be here illegally anyway. Just watch tonight's Ch 4 News, when the figures are released they'll be criticising the government for failure to meet its own targets on immigration, with a smug Snow saying we invited a minister from the home office for interview, but no one was available. It's just as well I keep the TV remote near to hand!

            What I hope for...

That the politico's are going to get a well deserved roasting from the 'young ones'. I doubt they will be be as as easily swayed by: Lies, damn lies and dodgy statistics.

They, more than my generation need to have their say as it will impact more on them and later generations than the elderly generation

A friend of mine made a very astute observation that we are all likely to notice what we want to notice more than things we don't. So it's quite likely that the BBC's coverage is actually quite balanced. There have been complaints from both sides and that also points to it being balanced.

Just watching a live report from Boston Lincs. on BBC News - not much positive there for Remain. I'd better complain...

                  Re: Political: BBC-1 8:00 - 9:00pm

We complain because we are Brits and have a 'god given right'. Even the weather gets complained about and there's nothing that we can do that will change what we are about to receive.

If I'm honest, I don't believe the drivel being dished out from either side. FOSKID politics seem to be all the rage these days and considering those in the fore-front of each campaign, it's not really surpprising. Perhaps, just perhaps, the Q&A series commencing from tonight migh bear some fruit... but I'm not holding my breath especially as the Q's have probably already been given out to each of the contenders.

Or am I being way too cynical?.

Interesting. My view from the other side of the fence is that the coverage is stacked in favour of the exit camp. Without wishing to air the specific issues of this campaign, I have found this quite a bit - in general when friends with different political views from mine complain about xxxx(x)-wing bias I usually realise that I thought the bias was opposite way. I suppose this is just a sign that they are doing a pretty good job, in general.

My view is that 16+ year olds should be given the chance to vote on this, and people of 70+ years should not be alowed to vote as it has nothing to do with them.

Had to switch it off as I was getting really annoyed at some of the purile comments that were being made by many of the people.

I too strugged but watched it to the end. Very disapointing on all counts.

I had hoped to hear a question answered from both sides, given all the doomsday scenario's and WWIII etc., as to what damage containment contingency plans 'were already in place' if Remain / Government lost the vote? Never happened.

Must say Alex Salmond gets my goat, I would do the exact opposite of what that man says. Just as well the opposite point of view aligns with my voting intentions, it would be hard for me to defect to the remain camp if Salmond was a leave campaigner.

And if it comes to another Scottish referendum, their best chance of decoupling is to give the English and Scottish equal voting rights.

The statistics for young people voting show that only 40% bothered to vote at the last election. I don't expect it to be any better for the EU vote, especially if 'The X Factor' or similar puerile pap is on that evening.

It's their future that will be decided. I haven't got a lot left!
