  • New Box camera developments!

Thanks to Graham for supplying details for the second stage of this project (the lens)
Poor weather and boredom so a bit of fun.
Was going to try this with a crinkle cut CMOS chip but Mc Cains catering warned me off.

Start point print outs from materials supplied by Graham. I added a super control panel to the LCD before printing.

    Second pattern supplied the 14 - 42 mm 1 : 3.5 - 5.6 Lens

    Cut outs ready for gluing

View of OMD EM10 Mk ii camera from front right

    Camera from front left

I added a super control panel read out from my OMD E-M 1 to the screen before printing.

Great fun to make I used photo paper and super glue for this one, Pritt stick glue would not hold the gloss surface ( other glues are of course available)

Might make the other pattern OM lenses supplied by Graham. I will then have a good range of very lightweight kit.

Will have to design a paper OM to mOMD adapter to fit them or use double sided tape!

Graham and I may branch out into lightweight camera sales, offers welcome.

    Brilliant Ed.

You made a cracking job of that, I'm impressed.

Have you thought of applying for a job as a Blue Peter presenter?

The addition of the SCP is a very good idea. Well done.

I'm tempted to use one to "bait" security guards in London...

Thanks folks, Graham seems a plan for shopping centres also, that working all paper camera seems a real challenge! May take up the challenge.

Very similar but the control wheels on mine stick up a bit more.

Nice one Alf I am told the pin hole is very important and some people make a bigger hole in the card then cover with foil and make the pin hole in it.

Graham lens caps are needed will you sort them out? The impossible to loose flash cover ( as used in this demo model) patent has come through.

Or change them using sticky backed Velcro as suggested earlier?
