OK; these are Lumix Fz200 photos so I will hide them here

very heavy cropped Lumix fz200 files and certainly not up the Oly quality . Hard to understand a winter crested pigeon chick (RHS).
It's still trying to get a free feed but mum and dad are already planning the next generation
Crested pigeons are an australian native and I feed a few (too many) in the backyard. They will breed at any time however most do so in spring and I know of a couple of nests close by already

nice birds imo; seed eaters mostly; not noisy although the wind across their wings does make a noise when they are in a big hurry.

I get about 6-10 in my back garden every day eating the seeds from the grass. Then the galahs arrive and chase them off. Caring parents by the look of it.

Very appealing. We have ring necked doves; they are in pairs, and often look so very comfortable with each other. They like our garden, and a couple have come here to die in peace. Perhaps nice to know that they feel that they can do so.
