It's not an Olympus, you see. Panasonic were selling refurbished GM1s on eBay, for £299, complete with the 12-32. I thought it'd make a good platform for my 14 and 20mm lenses (the rattlesnaking is quite bothersome) . It comes with the 12-32.

But you are still a photographer. To be a real traitor you would need to swap your camera for pencils and a sketch book.

No: to be a real traitor you would need to park your car and caravan and have a brew up in the middle of a beauty spot right where I want to take a photo.Originally posted by Zuiko View PostBut you are still a photographer. Enjoy it - the 12-32 is no slouch but GM1 plus 20/1.7 is a blast! If Olympus had made the GM1 you'd have bought that one....

Yes: I also met a family at sunset on the 199 steps at Whitby, where the 'father' decided he wanted to play games with his children right in front of myself and another photographer, both with tripods; and who became rather testy about taking photographs with his children in.Originally posted by Zuiko View PostAh, you've met that family too!
His wife repeatedly tried to persuade him to move on, and eventually went off in a huff; but he told her that they had just as much right to be there as everyone else.

No... but if they had made the GM5 (GM1 with viewfinder instead of flash) I would have done.Originally posted by JonSchick View PostEnjoy it - the 12-32 is no slouch but GM1 plus 20/1.7 is a blast!
