Have started to enter a few competitions (without luck so far), but is occurs to me that it would be useful to let each other know of competitions we hear about - it is easy to miss some.
As a starter people might find this one of interest.

That's a really good idea, it's not always easy to find out about these things - perhaps a sticky thread on the subject?

I too think it's a great idea. I also think most of us don't take pictures that are "gritty" or "different" enough to get far in some of these competitions

They all seem to me to be selected in much the same way as the "Turner" prize.

Was this on the site Paul, I thought I had looked thoroughly. Only one prize it seems to me. Not sure I want to enter such a comp.

elsewhere (i.e not on that site or where I can't find it) it syas winners of each catagory will get the trip to Cannes as per the overall winner except only for two nights

Don't forget to check the entry conditions. some are outrageous, requiring an exclusive, perpetual copyright reproduction license of ALL entries.

There has been a lot of discussion on AP forum about this.
