Searching For An Opening

Whilst in Cambridge on Saturday I thought I would look for some "openings" with a view to submitting one for the current challenge. The plethora that I found had to be dwindled down to one but I thought I would share some of the others that I considered.

I used this trip to experiment a bit. All I had with me were the E-M5 and the 14-42mm EZ and a spare battery in my pocket (no case or bag). I tried using the combo as a point and shoot using program shift to adjust the shutter speed when I felt it was too low and then switched to aperture priority half way through the day as I felt more comfortable with this.

Pixel peeping showed that the lens was a bit softer than the 12-40mm F/2.8 but more than adequate viewing the full image.

Nicely done. I think there seems to be a trend of keeping the 14-42 as a walk around. Mine stays on the EM10 as a grab and go combination. If I know I'm going somewhere that I'm likely to want to do some photography I'll pop on the 12-40. I found it more than capable for the sort of walk around shots.
