Wilkinsons have good quality birdboxes at the ridiculously cheap price of £2.50:
At that price they're not worth making! The only thing I did with mine is to fit stainless steel screws (Aldi) to the front, to make later removal easier.
The stores often have them on the shelves, but they soon go. You can order them online and collect at your local store.
I bought eight!
