  • Hi-tech firms battle with NSA fallout

Edward Snowden's allegations about the extent of NSA surveillance have prompted protests worldwide.

The last paragraph is quite interesting.
It's not what inspires us that is important, it's where the journey takes us.

If the NSA are capable of such widespread and detailed monitoring, why can't their resources be applied to targetingg and eliminating the cyber criminals who keep bombading us with viruses?

I've given over sweating what I can't affect. I'm too close to the end to be concerned.

The NSA are doing a wonderful job, and I don't care if they read this. My email signatures contain a reference to this spying on innocent people.

P.S. Do you think they'd tell my wife what her email password is as she's forgotten it?

Hi If they are so good, and the security breachs are web based SSL holes in which they say they hve done a globle patch to block the cyber crims, so why are we told to buy extra web security software. I f you read back before heartbleed came to light, the anti virus software houses ie Symantecs confesed that they were lossing a lot of revenue from software sales.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was all a gimmic to get back customers and boost there revenue.

At a rough guess, the holes in the operating systems which let the cyber-crims in are precisely those placed there to allow the NSA and GCHQ to spy on everybody. If they stop the crims the mess up their own activities!

Head of the nail firmly hit, I reckon!
