I got hold of Perfect Effects for free also a few months ago, I also found some presets using the dynamic contrast function which I really like.
Here are two edits of a shot of Kedleston Hall. The first was my best effort using Lightroom and the second was taking this and applying a preset in Perfect Effects. May not be to everyone's taste, but for landscapes I find it useful.
Seems to work pretty well to me. That's a nice shot of the Hall by the way I've never seen it from that viewpoint before. Or with so few people about for that matter.
