Sad that so very many people are "lonely".
But great that there is now a Team to support them all
My Dad was sad, after his lady friend passed on - so I used to phone often and send lots of postcards from places I was during the week - or just postcards of intersting things/places, even if I was working in the office !
My SiL suffered badly when her husband passed on, and I used to phone her most mornings to have a chat ... and sent her fashion postcards - as she loved handbags ; shoes; boots; frocks and coats/jackets ...
