A quick quiz - can anybody guess why?

Is that by any chance beside a village Common, where livestock is allowed to graze? Saw something similar in Norfolk a few years ago.

I think it is the New Forest so horses/ponies ; cows

I had that printed on the back of a T shirt when SWMBO was running .... With a gap between "pass" and "slow".

Yes, the sign is in the New Forest.

There were a large number of ponies on the road so it is easy to see how a fatal collision could happen.

The number 65 looks to be a replacement, I wonder if the number went up or down from the original sign.

The colour scheme is also interesting, maybe we should have more colourful road signs

It's 65 Animals, perhaps that includes deer and hedgehogs!

SAD thing is MOST of the animals killed in the NF are by Locals rushing to/from work the Tourists have all day

The animals counted are grazing eg horses/ponies ; cattle; sheep
