Hi, Do you have any programs running that use the attachments, if so I think you should close them, then do your delete.
Second suggestion, I have had situations whereby files would not empty from the trash bin. You can force trash bin to empty. to do this you hold one of the keys down on bottom left of keyboard. I think it is the "ctrl"key. I realise I am a bit vague, but I have'nt had the problem for a while.
