My wife bought me a Samsung Galaxy last Christmas but I just cannot get on with it. I only use PAYG, and need a basic phone for phoning and texting, with a keyboard. Don't need a camera or ability to surf the net. Any suggestions?

Do they make 'phones these days without a camera?

I purchased a Samsung 2121B as a backup 'phone for its simplicity and its ability to keep going for 4 weeks on a single charge (providing you don't actually make any calls or otherwise drain the battery). Alas it has a camera (in spite of its simplicity) and no keyboard. I still like my old Ericsson T28w - text only WAP internet if you had to use it and no camera.

SWMBO had a small LG phone with a slide out keyboard. Perfect for sending texts as sliding the keyboard out turned the screen orientation and you got the whole screen for the message.
