  • HELP! Today ?

Today - was supposed to be a Lazy Sunday Afternoon here ... but we had a worried Mum returning to work want a Face 2 Fac at 11am I#We have been settling in her and her son for 3 months so they are all happy for this WEEK I thought she was going to say, changed my mind - but she didnt - she wanted to say "Thank You" ... I was almost in tears (as she was) about the emotional milestone this week on Thursday (her baby is here for a few hours on Mon & Tues and half day Weds before full day Thursday

I was supposed to go to Gun Dog Training this morning, and at 11am THE Gym ... & Swim ... but last night I was just sooo tired I wanted a lay in - just as well as we ate late last night and Nick was "wired" and never went to sleep until 3am ..

I was going to take some photos of our "Watches" for the thread ... but HAD TO FIRST Vaseline all five of the old Silver Cross & Wilson perambulators, to keep their cleaned and gleaming Chome that way for another year Now is the worst time for Chrome, its the cold and damp moisture that "feeds the orange Moth" of metals ...

Prams DONE now off to Tog some watches ... it is not 3pm yet - BUT I am knack'd and ready for eats and bed already ...

What have you planned and not done, or done, today ?

I am thinking poor Roger aka Caridas is hoping for an early night and quiet day no driving on Monday ?

    Re: Today ?

Well, their Lordships finally went home today after staying since just after Christmas, so we might get a day off tomorrow at last! So tonight, a relaxing bottle of wine!

      Re: Today ?

More hot weather here today Chevvy - 38 degrees forcast - hot for our hills.
We will be listening to the wireless for bushfire warnings - the fires in Tasmania have been horrific and 100 people are unaccounted for - hopefully they just haven't been able to make contact with authorities and loved ones, and are all OK.

I am still researching Black & White photography while I have time on my hands through being stuck inside, and today have got the stock pot out and the Xmas Hambone is bubbling away for Pea & Ham Soup with Crumpets for the winter months!

      Yum.

Hi Roberta - 42.8 here now! I am afraid it is probably heading your way!
Thanks for that offer - I may well take you up on it!
I do Counted Cross-stitch and Petit-point, so that helps pass the time, but as you would appreciate, when it is so hot you seem to perspire even by the air-con and moist hands are no good for needlework!
Luckily we are only getting a couple of really hellish days in a row instead of a week of it, so there is a bit of breathing space in between heat waves.
          Keep cool!
