        There were two stories here.
Its beginning to look as if Woodford's holds water.
I have heard it alleged that the top end of Japanese business makes our lot look like choirboys by comparison.
        This is going to run.
Problem is it leaves Olympus vulnerable.
They will need an endoscope to figure this out. Made by Olympus. I have had the benefit? of the use of one.

            Re: Olympus chairman quits

The only thing that I have read that blots Woodford's copybook is the diversion allegation that Woodford was using a private jet when the rest of the company was making savings. But that's a minor misdemeanour compared to the hundreds of millions of dollars paid to dodgy disappearing companies in the Cayman Islands and similar sums used for purchases of near worthless companies unrelated to Olympus core businesses. None of that has been explained by the current board. I wonder if this could be a good thing for Olympus in the end, especially the camera division that has nothing to do with the scandals (which are mainly concerned with medical imaging business). If the current board goes and new management is installed, with luck the recent positives in the camera business can be rewarded with the investment deserved.

The intrinsic value of the company is still there (it's not under 6ft of water) so someone buying the shares now is set to make a lot out of all this

I read on one of the BBC reports which said the camera division was very much the poorer half of the company. It didn't seem to pick up on the success of M4/3. Presumably written by a Canikon person.
