    Re: Broadband Experiences

    Jamie,

Are you suggesting that Ian BT CEO is lurking here?

If so I'd like to say to Ian BT one of these negative stories do you much harm that cannot be regained with all the money you waste in adverts.
So you may as well just spend your whole advertising budget on something else.

Stop sending me crap in the post & sort out your customer services.
The solution is in this thread - pay your call centre people on results not calls answered traffic.

Oh and by the way, welcome to the forum

      Homer,
It would be nice to think that Ian Livingston (BT CEO) was a regular lurker - maybe even an Olympus DSLR user. After his first email to me I sent him the link to this thread which he then obviously read. I've got to say I give the guy credit for becoming personally involved. However from both this thread and a couple of the links I was given I am absolutely horrified by BT's lack of customer services. I'll be moving my services as soon as I can sort things out.

I also suggested in my email response that he try his own customer service by ringing up to complain from a number that is not red flagged (ie his own). He said he had done this and 'generally found it good although no helpdesk is perfect'. All I can say is Captain - Titanic - Captain - Titanic........................................... ...

        Re: Broadband Experiences

Slightly off-topic, but I get internally angry when I suspect the call-centre operative is LYING to me, even with something as trifling as their real name. No way was he called 'David' last time, I suspect they're forced to give English names by their overseers.

Spot on Ulfric I was talking to a guy who freely admitted he was in India but called himself Benjamin.

I'm with plusnet too, have been for about 10 years I think.

I have had a couple of minor niggles easily sorted out, I renogotiate every couple of years and get a bit off teh package, new router etc.

                Re: Broadband Experiences

Oh No - if Ian Livingstone finds out that people here like PlusNet and the support they give their customers he is bound to do a massive cost saving exercise, chopping the skill levels and support staff and then moving the rest of the company to Bangalore.
