EP2 Raw Help

How do I get adobe elements 8 to convert raw files from an ep2! i had no trouble with the EP1. But just wont go with the 2?

My guess is that the EP2 is a model too far for Elements 8. They are forever changing the rules, with the intention you will buy the newer Adobe product to keep up. Hmm

My preferred future proof method is mildly fiddly but works well for me: I convert my raws to DNG using Adobe's free DNG converter. You can leave it doing that while you have tea, it takes about 10 seconds per shot on my pc.

I then import into photoshop from DNG via the Adobe raw converter, that's where I do all my preliminary colour balance tweaks..

Is your Elements RAW converter up to date? I have had no problems with Lightroom 3 which uses the same converter.

Is your version of converter 6.1 ?Did a bit of digging and 6.1 for elements handles Ep2 files.

I have elelments 8 on which has downloaded and converted files from the ep1 but I have tried to upgrade the program and each time it says there are no upgrades for this program as it is up to date It refuses to convert the files as it says they are corrup or not recognised. The files open fine in the olympus programe...Ah well, if anything can go wrong It Will??
