Turning 'Mobile Data' off slightly improves the situation. I have ordered Power Bank as back-up....Anker PowerCore 10000

      iPhone 11, 12 months old

App not owned by Apple so they don't want it on their phone

Apple may be doing dubious things like draining the battery on old iPhones to encourage users to upgrade their phones. If I remember correctly they were doing this several years ago and it caused a big stink in the news. I have an iPhone 13 and the battery charge is behaving normally - so far.

Just a thought, correct me if I am wrong.

                    Anybody got any updates.

My iPhone 11 goes from 100% to RED in just 12 hours....with little use.

                    My wife's, updated 16.5 same time as me.....her's goes from 100% to 75% i'sh in 12 hours....same as before 16.5 install.

All the 'fixes' offered on-line don't seem to work for me, I've bought a bakp-up power bank to give me some degree of confidence.

I get the feeling, don't ask me why, that 'Mobile Data' has something to do with it.

We live in an area with no 'signal' and rely on 'Wi-Fi' call......the phone runs warm....never did pre 16.5.

When I take the phone out to a strong signal area the phone runs cold, as it always did pre 16.5.

                    ARGHHHHHHH....!!

Have you got some Apps running in the background .... i.e. Facebook etc, Facebook Messanger, Whats App etc. The may be constantly downloading/ uploading data from/to the Web.
My iphone 13 (Poor Signal Area + Wi-Fi Calling) goes from 100% to 75% in about 12 hours (like your wifes (I do not use any antisocial media!)
but my wifes phone drops to below 50% during the day as she is using facebook etc.

We noticed no difference when upgrading ios.
