Hi, I have contemplated selling my 150-400 Zoom but still not sure what to do . My lens is Olympus and about 18 months old in mint condition (same condition as the one in the pics on this forum a couple of weeks ago)
What value would you place on the lens? I'm just testing the water at the moment
Thanks for your reply.
I am going to Botswana next month and have one on order from Park Cameras. The shortage appears to be coming to an end now but that is no guarantee that I will get mine on time hence I would definitely be interested if you wish to sell.
As for the Value, there would be no guarantee with it but that doesn't bother me too much. If your asking price is below £6k i would be interested.
please keep me in mind if you decide to part with it.
I am in Gosport so collection from Sussex would be possible.
If only...... no real help but I got mine from Park Cameras a week and a half ago then a few days ago got a notification from Wex they had stock so could have done a deal Have you tried renting? Can recommend https://lensesforhire.co.uk
Ditto re: WEX for me only last week. Does sound like as lots of us were on multiple-dealers wait lists that even a slightly faster rate of delivery is breaking the back of the long wait times.
I just viewed a total rip-off ad for the 150-400. MPB Germany has one lens on "offer", listed as new for €8649.00 and with a 12 month guarantee . The price in the Olympus is €7499.00 new, with waiting time.
Someone is making a super profit on that sale, and I'll bet that it isn't the original seller.

I’m not an MBP hater but I’m less impressed by their prices. Yes, they have a slick setup but I’d still rather do a deal through a camera shop or direct with a forum member.
