I’ve gone from 2 E-M1ii to one M1iii plus an OM-1, so I’ve got one that’s surplus to requirements, so I’ll drop you a PM.
    Regards,
    Mark

I looked to sell a battery some time ago but found it was essentially impossible to ship in the UK due to restrictions.

I suppose it depends how honest you are when they ask you at the post office what’s in your parcel - I’ll get a third party one from Amazon I think !

True - although, anecdotally, it seems Royal Mail occasionally scan packages and have confiscated batteries. No idea whether or not that has actually happened or not.

I know of two parcels containing batteries that have been scanned and then destroyed.
On one of these occasions a covering letter was received explaining reasons for the disposal.

I have two spare but posting would be a risk. I got two spare with the M1X I bought, (since sold with 2 of them).

Under the circumstances I think I’d better buy one from a business then and close this - thanks for you help

I can't help wondering why we can receive batteries through the post from shops yet cannot send them through the post to others.

(I did read at some time that if the battery was in it's original packaging then it would be ok to send through the post. Don't know if that's correct, though).

Batteries can be sent through the post, if in original packaging or inside a sealed container.

When I researched it a while back, if the battery was new and in its original packaging that was OK, as was if it was fitted in the device it was powering. You do need a special label warning that the package contains batteries and I don't believe packages with batteries can be sent by air. Some couriers are less fussy thanb others!

That is my understanding too, Ian. So there might be a use for battery grips as secure mailing "packets"?
