  • For sale Panasonic 8-18mm f2.8-4

For sale my Panasonic Leica 8-18mm f2.8-4 has front and rear lens caps and hood and lens pouch and is boxed. It is in good condition and optically excellent. This is one of my most used lenses but I have now replaced it with an Olympus 8-25mm f4
    It is for sale elsewhere

£580 delivered I prefer bank transfer

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on the PL vs the Oly 8-25 Alf.

        Well Paul
The 8-18mm has been a well loved lens for 4 years it is sharp and produces great images and so much better than the 9-18mm I was using before. The zoom ring turns the other way to that of my m.Zuiko lenses so that was a learning curve. I like to use filters so I never wanted a 7-14. I like the fact it does not change length externally (the front element does move back and forth in the body).

I prefer MF for my Landscapes and I rarely shoot wider than f4 and the versatility of the extra 7mm and the MF clutch there is not much size difference packed away and on camera I am not too bothered by the extra size. There will be odd occasions I will miss apertures wider than f4 but I will just have to live with it but at 18mm the PL was f4 anyway.

A tough choice really but I want the m.zuiko.

        Alf

You are very patient bumping this along! I just looked on MPB and they would offer £490 for one in excellent condition and they pay for the shipping.
