Sounds an intriguing lens, though some say it is slow to focus. I have the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro which is superlative as a general purpose telephoto as well as for macro. Don't think I can imagine a need for the 105, intriguing as it sounds.Comment

General comment......I have 2 of these. One for Oly and one for Canon.......both give great results BUT on a bad day they are so infuriating. All of a sudden the auto focus will stop and I have to put into manual and focus then they will start to auto again when I switch back......On extreme close ups I just move in or out to focus.
