I've removed my GX8 from the listing. I was tempted to switch to a gripped E-M5 Mk II but now I'm not so sure!

Only reason I sold my GX-8 was it wouldn't produce a shake-free image with my Oly 75-300. I could have solved that by getting the Panasonic 100-300.

Otherwise the GX-8 is ergonomically superb and I think it would be a tough choice between the 2 cameras though the Panasonic would be the one for Video.

I initially didn't like the size or styling of the GX8, but after having had a longer play with one (and the G80/85) at B&H last month, I could easily change my mind. It handles very well and the EVF is just superb. The shutter shock issues seem to be the only real downside, but the latest firmware introduces a strategy to deal with it I understand by the judicious use of electronic shutter in the danger regions.

Having said that, the E-M5ii is superb too. The EVF is almost as good and the IBIS and shutter are definitely a step up from the GX8. However, it's not got that new 20Mp sensor and I personally think that's well worth having. I'd keep the GX8 right now and then go for the E-M5iii when that arrives. It's bound to have the IBIS from the E-M1ii and the new 20Mp sensor (probably same as the Pen-F).

The camera I had the most fun with was my old E-P5 with VF-4. The tilting EVF and 5-axis stabilisation made a great combo! I only want the video for taking the occasional shots of the kids, but with no stabilisation support on the GX8 for the majority of primes it limits me to outdoors only.

I'm pretty sure it has in-body stabilisation? Still didn't work with my 75-300 though.

Sorry, I meant with video. I think the GX8 has 4-axis stabilisation for still shots but there is no IBIS for video.

If you change your mind on the GX8, a friend of mine might be interested.

Sorry, I can't work out how to mark the listing as sold. Both the lens and camera are sold.

I've done it for you. Really enjoying the GX8.
