  • WANTED Olympus 35 RC in working condition

    Hello all,

Does anyone have a fully working Olympus 35 RC they would be willing to part with? I am not worried about cosmetic condition as long as everything is fully functional including the light meter and a fairly clear lens.

Price I can pay would reflect the condition, so if anyone has one please let me know.

Recently got a Trip 35 on the forum which has peaked my interest in these compact film cameras.

    Thanks for your help,

    Phil

Looking through what's on offer at the moment, I'd consider my one to be as good (maybe slightly better) than this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OLYMPUS-35...gAAOSw5VFWJk~n

SO: It all comes down to what you want to pay for one.

Re: Olympus 35 RC in working condition

I have a nice one but I don't want to sell it I'm afraid. Great little camera but bear in mind the correct mercury batteries are no longer available so if you can find one that's been converted to take newer silver-oxide cells (or some other solution) that would be an advantage. Good luck with your search Phil .

Graham - quite a collection indeed! I can only run to the 35RC, a 35ED and an XA.
        Regards
        Richard

The 35RD is by far the best. It was my first 35mm camera and will be the one that probably stays with me.

            I'll send you a PM

Graham, thanks. Will be in touch tomorrow evening once I've pondered it a little.

Thanks for the heads up Otto. The following site suggests I can use Wein Cell MRB625 which would be a simple solution

Yes, the Wein cell is the simplest solution, the only disadvantage being that once you remove the tab to activate the cell it starts to discharge whether you use it or not. I still have a PX625 mercury cell in mine, it's donkeys years old but still works fine!

Thanks Graham, arrived today in immaculate condition. Have some Tri-X ready to go in, so hope the new batteries arrive tomorrow so I can shoot with it. Have Ektar 100 in my Trip, so will be all set to go then (-:

                  Kind Regards,
                  Phil
