If it helps, I am using one as my second camera to my E-M5.

It is obviously smaller. Somewhat lighter, though it is probably heavier than you think. The image quality seems to be pretty much the same as the E-M5. The silent shutter option is excellent. Panasonic menus are a bit clunky compared to Olympus (IMHO)

All in all an excellent camera and a good choice as backup. Second camera, yes. Second place? Not really..

To add my bit... I have an EM1 and bought a GX7 2 weeks ago to also take on holiday. As Pete says the image quality is excellent. I loved the small size, easy panorama mode and of course the electronic shutter. GX7 a superb camera.

Hi Ark - well, it's different. In some ways it's better:

- Electronic shutter (this is fantastic - I hope Oly back-engineers the feature from the E-M5ii to the older models)
- Rangefinder styling, but with built-in EVF
- Excellent AF implementation

- Picture-in-picture zoom on AF point

- Focus point settable anywhere in the frame

- Touch-screen can set AF point even when using the EVF

- Lightening fast

- Proper custom function settings on the mode dial (C1, C2, C3)
- Tiltable EVF - great for top-viewing in bright light
- Nice ergonomics - dual dials and rear dial has an extra push-function
- The quick menu is somewhat more flexible than Oly's SCP
- Nice reminder when fitting a legacy lens to check focal length for IBIS
- Wifi works very well and is more reliable than the Oly version
- Built in flash - which can be tilted to turn it into bounce flash

In some ways it's behind the Oly models:

- IBIS is not as effective (maybe only 2 stops)
- No Livetime/Live composite
- Over/under exposure blinkies only visible after the shot is taken

Personally, I think it's a nice camera. I bought it to try the Panasonic experience and I haven't been disappointed.

It's quite a bit bigger than these cameras. It's about the same size as the E-M5, but without the hump.

Unfortunately I got one of these last November, otherwise I would be making an offer, that's for sure, especially given the low shutter count (not even run in yet) and a spare OEM battery, which factors at £45 at least (a spare is a must).
It's an excellent camera, not better than the Olympus OMD, but it's equal in many ways.

Get behind me! I looked at one last month in Jessops and was sorely tempted. At £320 on the day I'd have impulse bought it! Now I keep looking on this thread hoping you've found a buyer before I weaken!

It's a great little camera, and having handled one I'm sure you'll know about the excellent form factor. It could be yours for less than £320!, Paul did say he's open to offers.
