  • For sale E-600 & 40-150 kit

    Hi all,

I bought an E-600 as a back up to my E-620. Now I have an E-5 so the E-600 is surplus to requirements! To be honest I have hardly used it. It came with a 40-150 kit lens which is also available for sale. Both are boxed, with all the accessories.I haven't used the kit lens as I have two copies, my E-620 also came with the twin kit.

To give you an impression of what this combo can do, here is a set I took with them:

It's difficult to say without doing a side by side comparison. But for what it's worth, here's some sets for you to peruse. The lens used was primarily the 50-200 and 1.4 converter in both cases, the FL-50r flash was applied in rainforest settings and at night. I did not find the higher ISO performance of the E-5 significantly reduced the need for the flash. In Borneo it was incredibly humid, even more so than in Madagascar, so I think the weather sealing of the E-5 was a big plus, though the 620 had no problems in Madagascar I don't know if it would have had issues with Borneo. Some people say that the output from the E-620 is muddy. Personally I can't see a massive difference in quality, can you?

      Hares in Norfolk E-5

BIFs E-5 - bear in mind that I have not owned the E-5 as long as I have the E-620

                  Re: E-600 & 40-150 kit

I bought my e600 new. It still works great for me and until I significantly develop my photography skills I am very happy. Once I had got comfortable with the camer,a the upgrade I love even more is the 14-54 mkII which is definitely a step above the kit lens. (I was lucky I got a 14-54mk1 for a pittance first which helped me take the plunge). Enjoy
