Have you considered third party batteries?

I use them in my Olympus cameras and my Pany G6 with no issues. I use both Power Planet and Ex-Pro batteries and they are just as good as the OEM batteries regarding both performance and compatibility with the cameras and chargers. At <&#163;10 each they are much cheaper than the manufacturers' batteries.

I normally go for the real McCoy battery, but it's worth considering the third party route.
Do the Power Planet and Ex-Pro options have the same or similar chipping to be fully compatible with both the camera and the charger?

Mine certainly do. I bought four batteries for my G6 from one of these suppliers (Sorry, I can't remember which.) and they work exactly the same as the OEM battery that came with the camera, as do the BLS5, BLS1 and BLM1 clones I bought for my other cameras.
