Used my spare C mode this afternoon to load up a SH2 mode not sure if I got it right as it takes around 50 shots , thought you could vary the amounts pre/ during/ after shots but not sure where to look in the menu ? Never as yet felt the need to use SH2 but it may come in handy

Camera 1 menu

Sequential Shooting Settings
You can set SH2 (and others) there

Cheers bill that’s what I couldn’t get my head around . Thought there was a pre / during / after count but was that on previous models ?

Another thought on setting up either SH2 or SH2 procapture ,would it be sensible to shoot in j.pg rather than RAW to save on file size ? And processing time

blackfox I shoot procapture raw all the time with a V60 or V90 card and have never had problems with the write speed. The internal memory buffer is very fast and holds something like 99 images. So if your procapture burst is 15 images it goes to the fast buffer and writes to the card when it can. If you do very large frequent bursts it will eventually fill the buffer and slow the picture taking rate down to card write speed - unlike some other cameras it will let you take images a buffer space becomes available. I think it is Canon (and maybe also Lumix) that stop when the buffer fills until all the images are written to card which may take 10-15secs.

It's a high speed sequential electronic shutter drive mode where the viewfinder doesn't black out between frames like it does with the original sequential modes. So no distracting viewfinder blackout for wildlife and sports photography. The camera tricks you though as it's apparently just displaying the previous frame.Originally posted by blu-by-u View PostWhat's SH2 for?
