Following on from a thread about Tish Murtha at the end of March, in The Lounge, I've discovered this video about an exhibition at The Photographers Gallery that was held almost years ago. It featured her original Olympus camera that she started her photography with. A frame from the vide is below if anyone wants to ID the camera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9ovElOitCA
Thanks - I enjoyed the short video, a pity I've missed the exhibition.
We watched the BBC programme Tish and enjoyed that too. In that her daughter shows the camera to David Hurn and it looked like an OM-1 to me. She shows him the original hire purchase document for it reminding him he was the guarantor - if you screen grab it off iPlayer it is quite faint but I'm pretty sure it says Olympus OM-1
Tish Murtha used her camera to celebrate overlooked working-class lives and to fight for social change in 1980s Britain. Her daughter, Ella, uncovers her poignant story.
